Peter Conway is this titanically talented young singer-songwriter I met through our mutual friend Phil Ryan, and I was knocked out with him. He wrote superb songs, sang in an impossibly huge, rough, warm bear-hug of a voice, played very fine guitar and looked like Wolverine’s hippie kid brother. We subsequently became close friends, occasional songwriting partners and sometime collaborators both live and in the studio. In these clips from one of his Rooftop TV sessions, I’m adding slide guitar and harmonica to a couple of my favourite songs of his.
